Liturgical Ministries

Altar Servers
Altar servers assist the celebrant in a variety of ways during the Mass, including preparing the sanctuary for the celebration of the Eucharist, as well as assisting during Mass and helping with cleanup afterward. Fourth through eighth grade and high school students in our parish are offered the opportunity each year to be trained as altar servers and to serve Sunday liturgies, funerals, and other special liturgies.
Catholic students, 5th grade and up who have received their First Communion, are invited to serve at Mass. The next Altar Server training for the 4 pm, 8:30 am and 10:15 am Masses will be on September 26, 2026 at 10:00 am in the Church.  Interested? Please email parishlife@stmarysschool.net. Extraordinary Ministers of Communion

​Extraordinary Ministers of Communion assist by distributing Holy Communion in both forms of host and cup. Extraordinary Ministers must be Catholics of good standing who regularly participate in Mass. You may sign up according to your availability and Mass choice.

Called to Serve: Eucharistic Minister Training

Are you feeling called to serve our parish in a special way? We invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a Eucharistic Minister. Whether you are new to this ministry or would like a refresher, please join us for training:

Lectors

Lectors proclaim the readings and read intercessions and announcements. Lectors must be Catholics of good standing who regularly participate in Mass. You may sign up according to your availability and Mass choice.

Ushers

​Ushers greet us on our arrival and help us find adequate seating before the service begins. They also collect our offerings and help us stay informed by presenting bulletins and other information both before and after Mass. Their primary task is to assist us as we gather to worship together.

Adoration

St. Mary's new tabernacle in the Chapel offers parishioners the opportunity to visit with Jesus, who is present in the Eucharist, during Adoration hours. Adoration in the Chapel began in February 2024 and about thirty people have committed an hour each to sit and pray before the exposed Eucharist Tuesday through Friday. Many testify to the peace, comfort and heightened sense of spiritual communion with the Lord that they experience during Adoration. We would like to have at least one person present during each hour of Adoration. Several one-hour time slots are available each day.  Anyone who might like to sign up for a regular time, or just try out this devotional practice, should call the Parish office to add your name to the schedule.​​
