Religious Vocations

Priestly Vocations

A religious vocation, including Priesthood, Diaconate and Consecrated Life, is one particular and wonderful way a person can embrace God’s call to them. It generally involves a period of prayer, study and discernment before promises or vows are made and/or ordination takes place for priesthood and diaconate.

If you are interested in entering religious life and would like to find out more, feel free to call or email the parish office and/or the Office of Vocations of the Diocese of Peoria.

Secular Franciscans

The Secular Franciscan Order (OFS) is a worldwide community of Catholic men and women, married and single.  We live in the world in communion with the Church in Rome.  We seek to pattern our lives after Christ in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi.  OFSs are members of the Third Order of St. Francis as canonically established by Pope Honorius III in 1221.

Our purpose is to bring the gospel to life where we live, work, worship and play.  We look for practical ways to embrace the gospel in our lives and try to help others grow in faith.
